“HE WHO DOES NOT TRAVEL, WHO DOES NOT READ, WHO DOES NOT LISTEN TO MUSIC, WHO DOES NOT FIND GRACE IN HIMSELF, DIES SLOWLY.” - PABLO NERUDA

In 2016, we did our first international motorcycle expedition with a sidecar: Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. Sebastián was 8 years old.

In February 2016, we rode 3,750 miles on my bike + sidecar through 4 countries in South America.

I had installed that sidecar on another bike before, so when I attached it to my BMW GS Adventure 1200, I never aligened it correctly.

It was extremely exhausting and hard to ride that bike, due to the heavy right-turning force over 60 miles / hr.

We almost got hit by a lighting, we got to know the worst (most disgusting) public bathroom in the world, we escaped from a flooding at a campground and almost drowned ourselves, when crossing a river. In a nutshell, we had a great time.

During that expedition, I promised my son: “One day, I’m gonna quit my job, so we can ride my bike into the sunset for an extended period of time.”

Currently, we’re traveling full time around the world and VICTORIA (my motorcycle + sidecar) is our home.

IF YOU MAKE A PROMISE TO YOUR KID, STICK TO YOUR WORDS.
